Hands-On Immersion into Studies

The Creative Curriculum for Preschool is one of the most widely used pre-K curricula in the nation. It is comprehensive, research-based and features exploration and discovery as a way of learning. Foundation volumes help teachers create high-quality learning environments and support deep understanding of early childhood best practices, theories, and research. Robust Daily Resources provide the instructional tools and materials to engage children in project-based investigations and make every moment of the day meaningful, intentional, and engaging. two students in class

The Creative Curriculum for Preschool focuses on building relationships, the learning environment, how children learn and how teachers and families can work together to strengthen the child’s growth and development, ensuring school readiness.

The curriculum balances teacher-planned and child-initiated learning and emphasizes responsiveness to your child’s strengths, interests, needs, and learning styles. There are twelve Studies within the curriculum, each approximately 6 weeks long. The students vote on the study that interests them most, and that is how the teachers plan what to teach.

The system is designed to help teachers plan and implement content-rich, developmentally appropriate programs that support active learning and promote progress in all developmental areas. Creative Curriculum for Infants and Toddlers is used to provide nurturing childcare services to our PS3 EE students, providing a wide array of developmentally appropriate activities for your child in a physical environment that will stimulate and encourage maximum growth. Each classroom has a daily schedule that establishes routine and trust and has lesson plans that are designed to enhance your child’s curiosity and to nurture individual development.
